Welcome to the 35th_project, the creative home of Newquay based portrait and black and grey tattoo artist Wayne Williams.

With a lifelong love of art and portraiture, pursuing a career as a tattoo artist has been a natural progression for Wayne who sees each new tattoo as a piece of fine art, imagined and created specifically for you… resulting in an tattoo experience that is rewarding for both artist and client.

Living on Cornwall’s spectacular Atlantic North Coast, Wayne likes nothing more than spending his days off from the studio exploring the rugged and wild coastline, with his dog by his side and a camera (or two or three) in hand.

Please read the below information carefully before emailing with your enquiry.

Provide as much detail as you can about your desired tattoo, its background story (if applicable) and where on your body you would like your tattoo.

When emailing your initial enquiry include any reference images that you have, these are important as they will help to interpret your tattoo design correctly.

Also include a photo of the location on your body where you would like your tattoo.

The information you provide in this initial enquiry stage will help Wayne ascertain if his style of design is a good match to your tattoo needs. We will then contact you to discuss available consultation dates and arrange deposit payment.

We will always endeavour to answer your enquiry as quickly as we can. During busy periods there may be a delay of a day or two, please be patient.

At your initial consultation we will brainstorm your tattoo design and finalise ideas so that Wayne can go away and prepare a draft design. This initial consultation and draft preparation time is included in your final session cost.

Wayne works from the fully licensed Black Sea Tattoo Studio in Newquay, Cornwall. For address information please visit the Black Sea Tattoo Facebook page.

We cannot permit any guests or visitors to be present during appointments.

Please let us know in advance if you have any health issues or allergies which are relevant to the tattooing or healing process.

Every project and person is unique. Variables such as the size, detail and placement of the tattoo, skin type and other factors, will affect the cost. As all tattoo projects are different, please email us all the relevant information and pictures and we’ll get back to you with an estimated cost.

Payments for tattoo sessions are due immediately at the end of each session. We accept cash and bank transfer as payment methods.

After your initial consultation a £50 deposit is necessary to secure your tattoo session. Deposits are non-refundable. The deposit can be paid via bank transfer or PayPal.

The deposit serves to reserve your session date and will be applied to the final tattoo session if the project requires multiple sessions. If it is a single session, it will be applied to that instead.

If you need to change the date of your session appointment, you must let us know at least 7 days prior to the session so we can rearrange our schedules. A new deposit will be required to continue working together if you cancel or reschedule with less than 7 days’ notice. You can reschedule your appointment only once without losing your deposit.

If you are late, you must inform us via email or on the phone number provided when booking. If you are more than 15 minutes late without any notification, the session will be cancelled without any refund.

If you do not show up for the appointment – you will forfeit your deposit.

We’re working on some exciting original designs which will be available to buy from our gift shop as prints and t-shirts in limited edition runs. Check back soon!
